Salsa Dress Codes: Class, Social, Club and Performance

Dress codes depend on the class, club or event. Read the organiser’s guidance before planning your outfit. A casual practice session and a themed party may call for different looks.

Separate the occasions

A class is a learning setting. A studio social is a shared night of dancing. A club may set its own admission dress code, while a performance or competition can have specific requirements. Advice for one of these occasions should not automatically be applied to the others.

Read the organiser information first. If a theme or dress rule is unclear, ask what is required before planning a purchase. You may be able to use the same comfortable basics across several settings with one or two changes.

Keep movement in the decision

Whatever level of formality you choose, test the complete outfit through familiar steps and arm movements. Check accessories, coverage and any trailing details. An outfit that suits a still photograph may feel different during a long evening.

Our tees and layers can be part of casual looks when the venue allows them. They are not presented as a substitute for a specific performance costume or formal dress requirement. Choose the right garment category for the occasion, then decide which design feels like you.
